Patient story:
As I mentioned earlier I had devoted myself over a long time via Internet to find the best hair doctor for me. I’ve been a member of many different hair sites and had contact with many people who have undergone hair transplantation around the world.
I came in contact with many famous hospitals abroad, among others qualified surgeons like Dr. Rahal Hasson, Dr. Shapiro, Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Devroye, Dr. Feriduni, Dr. Mwamba and finally HDC. I wanted to choose the right clinic for me since a moderate result certainly would surely break me. I wanted to get a good tight hairline, minimal or no wounds on my neck and avoid so-called shock loss altogether.
I first contacted Dr. Rahal who is well-known doctor and famous about design of hair lines. I realized, however, through contacts over the network with some of his patients that they were not so happy with the density although the hairline was 100% natural. Dr. Rahal recommended me most 60 grafts/cm2 to create my new hairline. I know different surgeons have different policies about dense packing.
When I asked Michalis Georgiou about the density he said 60 grafts would not be satisfactory for me since I had great demands on the new hairline, and he thought I would need about 70 grafts/cm2 to reach my expectations. Ok different doctors have different opinions about dense packing. I met many Greeks and Cypriots from the Greek site that was very satisfied with their operations by dr. Michalis Georgiou.
I also met several patients personally and I was impressed by their natural hairline and above all almost invisible strip from the donor area. After meeting with Dr. Michalis he gave me confidence that I needed to make my decision and go on with the surgery.
I chose to do the strip mainly for two different reasons:
- 1st Cost – since Strip (FUT) is cheaper than FUE
- 2nd I was totally convinced that the strip would not be visible in the back of my head when I came in contact with some people who have undergone surgery with dr. Michalis, when their cut was more or less invisible. I intend not to shave my hair at any point in the future.
According to dr. Michalis, I have the opportunity to do two transplants to the strip or FUE if my hair loss continues. You will follow my progress regularly and I really hope the surgery will meet my expectations and I chose the right clinic for me.
