I underwent surgery August 10, 2011, and the images that is just after the surgery. I had total of 3139 grafts (hair follicles) and paid 8318 Euros.I flew to Cyprus and the HDC clinic gave me 250 Euros in compensation for my travel expenses. Now 10 days later, there is no visible scar on the back of my head. I will send you additional pictures so you can judge this. I stayed in an apartment the clinic arranged for me at no extra cost.
The operation began at 8.00 AM with a photo session followed by drawing and design of my new hairline. We spent some more time on this than anticipated because I wanted to be 100% sure about the result. The operation began 9.30 AM and ended 18.45-19.00 PM in the evening. Besides Dr. Michalis there were 4 hair technicians and they cut grafts from the strip and used microscopes and they placed all grafts while Dr. Michalis opened holes in the head. The atmosphere was very good and friendly. I felt a slight pain from injections of anesthetic, but nothing more there after.
Recovery:
After the surgery I had a slight unpleasant time during two days and it helped with Panadol. I’ll remove the suture on Monday and visit the clinic again on the 29th August for a new control before I get back to Sweden.

As I understand your emails you wanted to lower your hairline – but it looks as if you already have very dense hair. You, like many other HT patients, consider yourself a perfectionist and as you wrote you wanted to have your hair perfect and strengthen your frontal side. Lowering the hairline is something many people desire and during the design process it is important to keep the natural proportions and it is also important were in the hairline the surgical team place the different type of grafts. It look like the surgeon is using the principle of dense packing – the advantage is your hair will look good in the short and middle term, but when your hair loss continues, you will probably need to make additional hair transplants in the future. As in the case of the front is also important the surgical team successfully place grafts with one hair at the very front hairline to make it look natural. 
The pictures are from the day of your surgery Aug. 10, 2011 and it will be months before we will see the result. Since it was a strip surgery, I assume that the image of your neck must have been taken earlier in the day during your surgery – it is hardly possible to see strip, but a strip scar is usually 28 cm long. It looks like you have little blood on the hair and they have certainly managed to hide the area where they picked out the hair follicles. Maybe you could add some more pictures on that area?
